9 Days Punakha Tshechu Festival Tour

Dedicated to Guru Rinpoche, the festival brings together monks, masked dancers and local communities for several days of sacred performances, prayers and colourful celebrations.
Witness traditional Cham dances performed in elaborate costumes, listen to ceremonial music and observe Bhutanese families dressed in their finest national attire. The festival traditionally culminates with the unveiling of a large sacred Thongdrel, subject to the official programme and festival dates.
This nine-day journey combines the festival with cultural experiences in Thimphu, Punakha, Bumthang, Phobjikha and Paro, creating an immersive introduction to Bhutan’s spirituality, history and Himalayan landscapes.
